According to a recent report by MARCA, Real Madrid and their 20-year-old forward Alvaro Rodriguez are preparing for a key decision regarding his future.
After completing a year-long loan spell at Getafe, the young striker is back at the club, but all signs point to another move, this time with a clearer plan for long-term growth.
Rodriguez, whose contract runs until 2027, is one of several players whose futures need to be sorted out in the coming weeks.
Real Madrid, along with the player, understand that staying at the club is not the ideal scenario at this stage of his career.
Instead, both parties agree that it is time to find a project where he can develop properly, gain regular minutes, and grow into a consistent top-level performer.
During the 2024/25 season, Rodriguez found the back of the net three times with Getafe, and it is clear that he needs more than sporadic opportunities to truly shine.

What he and the club want now is a stable environment, one that allows him to build rhythm, confidence, and maturity on the pitch.
Talks are expected soon to finalise the terms of his next move, which could be either a loan or a permanent transfer.
However, if it is the latter, Real Madrid are likely to include smart clauses, such as buy-back options or a percentage of future sales, to retain control over the player’s path.
Several clubs have already shown interest in the 20-year-old forward, knowing that he carries significant potential.
After a last-minute loan deal last season, the aim this time is to choose a project that doesn’t just fill a gap but actively nurtures his development.
Rodriguez’s next move could be the defining one in his career. And this time, both the player and Real Madrid are determined to get it right.
