Real Madrid open contract talks with Rodrygo
Tribal Football
Real Madrid have opened talks with Rodrygo Goes about a new contract.
The Brazilian forward has proved to the club this season that he can be a star player in the future and they will now set about keeping him for the seasons to come.
The discourse around Los Blancos and their attacking department has revolved around Kylian Mbappe and his, until recently, expected arrival at the club.
In the background though, Rodrygo has become a decisive player in the final part of the season and the La Liga Santander champions will act on that despite the 21-year-old having three years left on his current deal.
A factor in Real Madrid's admiration of the player is that he seems to be able to find a new level when playing in the Champions League.
He has actually scored 10 goals in the Champions League this season whereas he has only managed seven in the domestic league.
