In a recent report, Defensa Central mentioned that Real Madrid have been offered a chance to land Udinese forward Beto. It has been claimed that Los Blancos could face competition in the form of Tottenham Hotspur in the race to sign the Portuguese striker this summer.

Beto’s Campaign Of Mixed Emotions In Serie A

Beto experienced an up-and-down season at the Italian club recently as he caught the eye at times but struggled to find consistency in front of the opponent’s goal. The 25-year-old banged in ten goals and grabbed a couple of assists in 34 matches for Udinese in the previous campaign on all fronts.

The Portuguese sensation has done well to average 1.8 shots, 0.7 key passes and 1.0 dribbles per 90 minutes in Serie A. However, he has been far from convincing when distributing the ball in the opponent’s half, as evidenced by his pass success rate of 65.7% in league football (stats via whoscored).

His current contract at the Italian club is set to run out in the summer of 2026. Thus, Real Madrid will have to launch a convincing offer if they want to win the chase for Beto’s services in this off-season.

What Will Beto Add To Real Madrid Boss Carlo Ancelotti’s Team?

Beto excels at generating space for himself to get a few strikes in on-target. He has got the vision to engineer a few promising chances for his teammates in the opposition half and is a decent dribbler with the ball as well. However, Beto needs to work on improving his link-up play on the attacking end of the pitch.

We can expect the Portuguese talent to add some much-needed firepower to Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti’s frontline. He would also soften the blow of losing Karim Benzema if Los Blancos can manage to get him on board this summer.

At 25, Beto has his best years ahead of him which makes him a decent option for the Madrid giants to consider during this transfer window.

However, he is far from a prolific forward and would need time to settle into life at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium. Still, Ancelotti should think about moving in for Beto as he got the experience to unlock the best out of him over the next few seasons.
