Having arrived just days ago as the latest member in Real Madrid’s training sessions, a lot remained unclear over how much the club could count on Trent Alexander-Arnold in the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup.
After all, adaptation is not easy at a club like Real Madrid where the expectations are sky-high, more so when the player has had just weeks to prepare before his debut.
As relayed by AS, however, the right-back has taken the mission by the scruff and has turned up in training from day one. The news from the inside is that he is exceeding expectations already.
As confirmed by the Spanish outlet, Alexander-Arnold was seen practicing corner deliveries as early as his second day of training and has caught the eye of the management with his perfect deliveries.
Despite having arrived at the club recently, he will thus be Real Madrid’s main corner-kick taker next season, especially on the right side. The final decision has been made.

Concurrently, however, there are areas where the management see a clear need to push the player to improve and fill the lacunae in his game as well.
The former Liverpool star has always been known to be the best in the business in terms of attacking output, dribbles, and assists.
However, Xabi Alonso and Co. are pushing him to track back better, put in a better defensive shift, and provide more intensity.
With the player displaying clear impact and strong physicality in his opening days in training, he will be a starter in the FIFA Club World Cup and will debut as early as this week.
The entire season, however, will prove to be a learning curve for him as he adapts to the new system and develops into a more well-rounded full-back.
