Making just his second start for the club, the English midfielder put up a resilient showing that even included his first goal for the Merengues.

According to reports from AS, Los Blancos are very optimistic about Bellingham’s physical condition.

There were reports that his debut would be delayed out of caution of his knee injury that kept him out towards the back end of last season, but it is now clear that he has no discomfort in his right knee.

The youngster has left a strong impression in the limited time he has had on the field so far against both AC Milan and Manchester United.

The teenage sensation played 45 minutes on the night, netting the opener from a sumptuous Rudiger assist in just the sixth minute.

Further, he completed two dribbles, won eight duels and completed 85% of his attempted passes.

The midfield prodigy spoke to the media after scoring his first goal for Real Madrid and highlighted the happiness he derived in playing alongside the world’s best.

“I am very happy to play with these players and I say it in every interview. The goal was after a great pass from Rüdiger. It’s a great joy to play with footballers who understand my movements,” he said.

With Bellingham proving his quality from the very start, he makes a strong case to enter Carlo Ancelotti’s starting lineup for the league opener.
