Real Madrid players trained today as they prepared for Sunday’s La Liga encounter against Girona at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Only two players, Dani Carvajal and Eder Militao – both long-term absentees, were not in training with the team today meaning Carlo Ancelotti has a near full-strength squad at his disposal now.
However, as reported by AS, Dani Ceballos gave Real Madrid a slight scare during the training session today ahead of their clash against Girona.
During one of the early rondos, the midfielder, who has been in fine form of late, picked up a minor knock on his left ankle, causing concerns.
However, the club medical staff quickly intervened, bandaging the joint to allow him to continue training.

Ancelotti confirmed in his pre-match press conference that Ceballos was okay, saying:
“He is fine, like all those who have played. I will evaluate those who need to rest. The squad is growing physically. Tomorrow it could be an option for Alaba to play. These are things I have to evaluate today.”
Ceballos’ scare in training would have been a major concern for Real Madrid as he has become a crucial figure in Ancelotti’s midfield in recent matches.
Since the Spanish Super Cup, where he was a substitute in both the semi-final and the final, Ceballos has started eight of Real Madrid’s last eleven matches in all competitions, firmly establishing himself as a key player in Ancelotti’s plans.
The coach rested him in the last La Liga fixture against Osasuna to ensure he was fresh for the return leg against Manchester City and the Spaniard shone brightly in the latter game.
It remains to be seen whether Ancelotti opts to give Ceballos another break or continues with him in the lineup against Girona tomorrow.
