Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro concedes Chelsea were simply too good for their Champions League semifinal defeat on Thursday night.

Casemiro recognised Chelsea's superiority in their 2-0 victory against Real Madrid at Stamford Bridge for the return leg of their Champions League semi-final tie.

The Brazilian midfielder explained that the Blues were the better team and stressed that he and his teammates should now focus on Sunday's LaLiga Santander duel against Sevilla.

"In the first 25 minutes we played better and we had two chances with Karim [Benzema]," said Casemiro.

"Then they played better and they had more opportunities, but there is no going back.

"I think Chelsea were superior and played better than us.

"Today we showed that what we achieved [in the past] was history, as it is not easy to win the Champions League.

"Today we showed once again that it is not easy to win this."
