Over the past year, there has been a lot of chatter surrounding the future of Vinicius Jr. at Real Madrid, with Saudi Arabia making moves to lure him away from the Santiago Bernabeu.

The 24-year-old Brazilian international’s entourage has held talks with stakeholders in the Middle Eastern nation, fuelling speculations about a possible switch.

However, things have gone quiet in recent weeks, with talks of the winger signing a new contract with the club gaining weight.

Vinicius’ three-year contract announcement soon

Now, as per Josep Pedrerol on El Chiringuito TV, Vinicius is all set to sign a new three-year contract at Real Madrid.

The expectation is that the Brazilian megastar’s renewal will be announced before the FIFA Club World Cup set to take place next month in the USA.

Vinicius’ current contract at Real Madrid runs until the summer of 2027 but given the strong interest from Saudi, the club have been proactively working to extend his deal.

Talks have been ongoing for some time now with an agreement over his new salary posing a challenge. However, it appears that everything has been sorted out and the forward will put pen to paper on the new contract soon.

Vinicius’ new deal will keep him tied to Real Madrid until 2030. Reports suggest that the Merengues have broken their wage structure to secure the renewal agreement.

Having endured a subpar season compared to the standards he set for himself during the 2023/24 campaign, Vinicius will be hoping to recover his best form under new manager Xabi Alonso and help Real Madrid return to the top in Spain and Europe.
