With Luka Modric leaving Real Madrid, the iconic No. 10 shirt has become vacant and is looking for a new owner.
Worn by some of the best to have played for the club, such as Ferenc Puskas, Clarence Seedorf, Luis Figo, Mesut Ozil, and more recently Modric, the #10 shirt carries a lot of weight and responsibility.
Recent reports have suggested that Arda Guler has emerged as a possible candidate to take over the shirt number, along with superstar Kylian Mbappe.
However, according to journalist Ramon Alvarez, it is Mbappe who is primed to take up the iconic shirt and become the new No. 10 of Real Madrid.
The French forward arrived at the Santiago Bernabeu last summer and was handed the No. 9 shirt which was left vacant after Karim Benzema’s departure.

However, ever since he signed, Mbappe has been tipped to eventually take over the No. 10 at Real Madrid, a shirt number he wears for the French national team.
With Modric now departing, the time seems to have come for the 26-year-old former PSG superstar to become Los Blancos new #10.
Despite there being suggestions that Guler could inherit the iconic shirt, Mbappe appears to be the favourite to succeed Modric and carry the legacy of the No. 10 forward at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Should the switch happen, Endrick could get a kit upgrade and be given the No. 9 shirt by Real Madrid for the next season.
