Real Madrid’s extensive scouting network has been a key driver of the club’s success in the transfer market in recent years.
Through the acquisitions of stars such as Vinicius Jr., Federico Valverde and Rodrygo, among others, Real Madrid have been able to secure good players at early stages of their careers.
Much of the credit should be given to Juni Calafat’s team, which is set for a new addition this summer.
According to ESPN, Real Madrid have recruited Spanish scout Raul Garcia to further strengthen their scouting department led by Juni Calafat.
Garcia, who recently ended a five-year stint with AS Monaco, is known for his expertise in international scouting, particularly across Europe.

During his time at Monaco, he played a key role in identifying talent such as Ansu Fati, who joined Monaco from Barcelona this summer as well as Paul Pogba.
At Real Madrid, Garcia will work under the guidance of Juni Calafat, who, as mentioned earlier, was the brains behind the signing of Vinicius, Rodrygo and more recently, Arda Guler.
This recruitment move comes after the departure of scout Javier Tejero, who joined Leganes as their technical secretary.
Garcia’s arrival is seen as an important step to ensure Real Madrid continue identifying top talent across the globe. The move will also expand the club’s scouting footprint across Europe.
This is also an indicator of Real Madrid’s strategy as the club continue to search for hidden gems across the world and sign them for cut-price deals, before making them world beaters.
