The brass at La Liga giants Real Madrid have initiated contacts with their counterparts at Palmeiras, over a potential deal for youngster Vitor Reis.
That’s according to Goal Brasil, who have this weekend provided an insight into the situation.
Reis, for his part, has long been considered one of the standout up-and-coming talents in his home country of Brazil.
Despite his tender years (18), the defender is one of the first names on the team sheet of one of the country’s leading clubs, in the aforementioned Palmeiras.
Reis has been hailed for his abilities on and off the ball alike, considered a player capable of making the jump to the European game with little fuss.
And such talents have not gone at all unnoticed across the water…
As per a report from Goal:
‘Palmeiras defender Vitor Reis is being targeted by several European giants. In recent days, Arsenal, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Inter Milan have approached the player’s intermediaries in search of initial information.’
It is also noted that Real Madrid’s interest goes back the furthest, with Los Blancos having kickstarted contacts with Reis and his entourage this past summer.
