On Thursday, Real Madrid jetted off to London, with 48 hours to go until the Champions League final at Wembley Stadium. Carlo Ancelotti announced his matchday squad just before the trip, and the big news is that Andriy Lunin has been included, despite a bout of illness over the last few days.

However, Lunin has not travelled with his teammates, and the idea is for him to arrive on Saturday morning. The player himself has apologised to supporters for his inability to prepare as usual for the biggest match of the season.

One player that has travelled is Jeremy de Leon, who despite not being named in Ancelotti’s squad for the match at Wembley Stadium, will be part of the pre-match preparations, as per Marca. The 20-year-old, who signed from Castellon in January, is considered to be a “lucky charm”.

Real Madrid will hope that de Leon’s apparent luck helps them over the line on Saturday, as they go in search of title number 15 in the Champions League/European Cup. It promises to be a fantastic occasion in the capital of England.
