Real Madrid have taken an active interest in Roma defender Mario Hermoso.

Carlo Ancellotti’s team are struggling in defense due to injuries.

To remedy this situation, the Blancos are monitoring the market and, according to Spanish sources, one of the most interesting names for January is Mario Hermoso from Roma.

The defender, as reported by Spanish newspaper Marca, who already played in the Real Madrid youth sector before joining the first team of Atletico Madrid, has returned to Serie A with Roma and has integrated well into the Giallorossi group.

The center back, however, could be willing to return to La Liga, attracted by the possibility of wearing the Blancos jersey once again.

Contacts have already begun and a negotiation could break out in the coming weeks, with Roma ready to evaluate the offer.
