Real Madrid: Lego release incredible 5,876-piece replica of the Santiago Bernabeu | OneFootball

The Santiago Bernabeu is one of the most famous football stadiums in the world.

Situated in the heart of the Spanish capital the stadium is home to 13-time European champions, Real Madrid.

Since it was built in 1947, many of the world’s greatest players have graced the stadium’s hallowed turf, including the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Ronaldo Nazario and Zinedine Zidane.

In homage to the 81,000-seat goliath of European football, Real Madrid have partnered up with the LEGO Group to reveal a 5,800-piece replica of the Bernabeu.

The launch of the 14cm tall model coincides with the 120th anniversary of the football club and the 75th anniversary of the magnificent stadium.

It is the ultimate display piece for any Los Blancos fanatic and gives supporters the chance to build their own Bernabeu in a fully immersive experience.

Once built, the model’s interactive features allow fans to continue to engross themselves in the iconic venue.

The replica’s lift-off roof allows fans to delve deeper into the stadium to see the famous grass patterns that are mowed into the pitch, the tunnel, the dugout and the iconic Real Madrid branding around the stadium.

But the model won’t come cheap and will set fans back £309.99.

Milan Madge, a designer at the LEGO Group said: “Real Madrid is one of the most remarkable football clubs in history — which is why recreating the Santiago Bernabéu stadium in LEGO brick form was such an incredibly rewarding experience.“Authenticity and sense of scale are key factors in this recreation, so that builders can truly feel the atmosphere of this dazzling and vast stadium.

“This set allows builders to bring the much-loved homebase of Real Madrid into their own home for years to come.”

Fans can purchase the model from the Lego store’s online shop and will also be able to buy the set from Real Madrid stores on March 1, 2022.
