Real Madrid are reportedly keeping tabs on Sevilla defender Jules Koundé ahead of their upcoming defensive rebuild.
Koundé has impressed since joining the Andalusian outfit last summer and was pivotal in their record-breaking sixth Europa League win.
According to AS, Zinedine Zidane believes the 21-year-old could be his Sergio Ramos replacement and long-term partner for Raphaël Varane.
But Koundé himself insists he is happy at Sevilla despite ongoing transfer speculation being a good thing.
“It is always good that you interest teams,” he told Marca last month. “I don’t look at other teams.
“I’m good at Sevilla. Next year we are going to play in the Champions League and we all deserve it.
“I am very focused and very happy here.”
The former Bordeaux defender made 39 appearances during his debut season, scoring two goals.
