Real Madrid keeper Courtois blasts ref for Elche draw: We worried about him too much

Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois took aim at the match officials after their 1-1 draw at Elche.

Courtois was angry with several decisions made by ref Figueroa Vázquez and felt his teammates also became too obsessed with his officiating.

The Belgium international said, "They whistle us a penalty for a small grab, when in the first half there is a grab equal on (Karim) Benzema and he does not whistle anything.

"That is not correct. If you whistle one, you have to whistle the other. It seems that there are referees who like to whistle those things."

In Courtois' opinion, Vázquez put off his teammates: "Perhaps in the second half we were too aware of what the referee was doing. Hurt? We cannot be because we come off a very good streak."
