Real Madrid interest for Botafogo whizkid Matheus Nascimento CONFIRMED

Real Madrid are interested in Botafogo whizkid Matheus Nascimento.

The 18 year-old striker is being followed by Real chief scout Juni Calafat. Calafat was involved in Real's past deals for Brazilian pair Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo Goes and Reinier Jesus.

Nascimento has a contract with Botafogo until 2023 and the Brazilian club is trying to convince him to agree to a renewal.

Real Madrid must overcome a complicated registration, however, with Nascimento's deal owned 60 per cent by Botafogo, 30 per cent by the player and 10 per cent by his former academy.

Interestingly, journalist Samuel Pain reported on social media of Real Madrid's interest in Nascimento, which was 'liked' by Calafat.
