In a recent report, Defensa Central claimed that Real Madrid have identified Arsenal star Gabriel Jesus as a target. It has been mentioned that Los Blancos are eyeing a move to secure the services of the Brazil international.

Jesus’ Decent Numbers For Arsenal This Season

Jesus is having an impressive debut season at the Emirates Stadium despite missing a lot of games for Arsenal due to injuries. The 25-year-old has banged in five goals and picked up seven assists in 23 matches for the Gunners this season in all competitions.

The Sao Paulo-born talent has led the line well for the Gunners as he is averaging 3.3 shots, 1.4 key passes and 1.9 dribbles per 90 minutes in the Premier League. He has even been tidy with his ball distribution after completing 82% of his attempted passes in top-flight football (stats via whoscored).

Jesus is under contract at the North London club until the summer of 2027. Therefore, Real Madrid will have to pay a massive fee if they want to recruit the Arsenal striker this year.

Should Real Madrid Boss Carlo Ancelotti Snap Jesus Up?

Jesus can create space for himself to get a few strikes in at goal. He has proven himself to be a capable finisher in front of the opposition goal. The Brazilian sensation can also engineer a few decent openings for his teammates in the final third and can also time his runs well in behind the opponent’s backline.

However, Jesus has been quite injury-prone during his time in England which could make him a risky option for Los Blancos to consider at the end of this campaign.
