In a recent report, TransfermarketWeb mentioned that Real Madrid are hoping to re-sign Levante winger Jorge de Frutos this summer. It is understood that Los Blancos are weighing up a move to bring the Spanish wide player back to the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium in this off-season (via TransfermarketWeb).
It was quite a productive campaign for De Frutos in Spanish football as he put in a handful of eye-catching displays for Levante out on the wide areas. The 24-year-old found the back of the net on four occasions and picked up 12 assists in 41 matches for the Spanish side last season in multiple competitions.
The Spanish wide player performed well to average 1.3 tackles, 0.7 shots, 1.1 key passes and 1.2 dribbles per 90 minutes in La Liga. However, he could be more accurate when distributing the ball in the opposition half, as evidenced by his pass success rate of 74.1% in the Spanish top tier (stats via whoscored).
De Frutos has taken great strides towards improving his overall game since leaving Real Madrid back in 2020. Hence, it would be a clever move by Carlo Ancelotti to lure him back to the Spanish capital before the start of the new season.

De Frutos is a quick and agile winger who can make some dangerous runs with the ball in the opponent’s half. He has proven himself to be a great playmaker at Levante but needs to add a few more goals to his game if he wants to become a world-class wide player in the future. De Frutos is primarily a right-sided winger but can also feature as a wide player on the left flank or operate as a forward down the middle if needed.
A manager of Carlo Ancelotti’s experience could unlock the best out of the Spaniard at Madrid in the coming seasons. De Frutos has what it takes to rival Rodrygo and Vinicius Junior for a place in Real Madrid’s starting XI over the next few years.
At 24, the Levante star is about to embark upon the peak stage of his playing career soon. Hence, Los Blancos can expect him to get better and better as long as they are willing to be patient with the player. De Frutos will add a lot of goals and creativity to Ancelotti’s frontline which is why the Italian tactician should consider launching a move to bring the Spanish sensation back to the Bernabeu before the transfer window slams shut at the end of this month.
