Real Madrid are set to take on Athletic Club in La Liga on Sunday, hoping to extend their advantage at the top of the La Liga table.

Leading up to the game, manager Carlo Ancelotti recovered all his players from international duty on Thursday.

However, there were some concerns raised when Eduardo Camavinga, Jude Bellingham, and Federico Valverde trained within the facilities and did not participate in group sessions.

All good as trio returns

However, Friday’s training session brought good news with it for Real Madrid as the aforementioned trio of Camavinga, Valverde, and Bellingham all trained normally with the group, reports Mundo Deportivo.

Of the three, the major concerns were surrounding Camavinga as he had returned from national team duty carrying an ankle injury that he suffered during France’s friendly against Chile.

But the issue was always said to be a minor one and the fact that he has returned to train normally with the rest of the group today comes as a big boost for Real Madrid.

Valverde and Bellingham, meanwhile, have no injury or fitness concern as such, but their absence from team training on Thursday did raise a few concerns, considering their workload during the international break.

But, there are no reasons for worry there either as both trained normally today and will be ready for Athletic Club – with Bellingham returning to club action after serving a two-match ban before the international break.

With Dani Ceballos also returning to training, Real Madrid will only be without Thibaut Courtois and David Alaba on Sunday through injuries.

At the same time, superstar Vinicius Jr. will also miss out due to suspension for accumulation of cards.
