Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is eager for captain Sergio Ramos to stay.

The defender, 34, is off contract at the end of the season and yet to hear from management about a new deal.

Courtois told El Larguero: "He is very important for us and all the Madridistas want this to continue.

"I admired Ramos a lot, except once in Lisbon (Champions League final 2014). I always tell him that we have to win a Champions League together.

"It's an honour to play with him."
