Real Madrid have started preparing for the FIFA Club World Cup which will start this week in the USA under new manager Xabi Alonso.
The Merengues have welcomed two new signings ahead of the tournament in Dean Huijsen and Trent Alexander-Arnold, while Jesus Vallejo is the only player to have left the club.
Any more new arrivals or exits will now have to wait until after the Club World Cup and one of the players looking at an uncertain future happens to be forward Rodrygo Goes.
The Brazilian attacker has reportedly grown disillusioned with his role and lack of prominence in the team, compared to other stars like Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Jr., and Jude Bellingham. As such, a summer exit has become a possibility.
As such, Mario Cortegana of The Athletic reports that Rodrygo has been approached by multiple Premier League clubs through intermediaries over the possibility of a summer transfer.
Arsenal, for one, have shown the strongest interest in signing the Real Madrid attacker, with the Gunners’ staff, led by manager Mikel Arteta firmly believing that he can be a difference-maker for the team.

Having snared away players like Mesut Ozil and Martin Odegaard from Real Madrid in the past, Arsenal are planning another major swoop for Rodrygo this time around.
However, Rodrygo, his father and agent do not wish to enter into negotiations with any club before they have had talks with new Real Madrid manager Xabi Alonso.
The 24-year-old forward wants to feel more important in the team and also wishes to inform the manager of his desire to play either on the left flank or more centrally rather than his current position on the right wing.
Rodrygo’s future, thus, will depend on how the discussion with Alonso goes with regard to his role in the team and position on the field.
If a summer departure becomes a possibility, Arsenal are ready to move while several other Premier League clubs also remain attentive.
