An early insight into the wellbeing of Real Madrid star Ferland Mendy has on Monday evening been forthcoming online.
This comes, for those who may have missed it, after Mendy set alarm bells ringing across Spain’s capital earlier in the day.
The 29-year-old, for his part, featured from the off in Los Blancos’ La Liga meeting with Real Betis on Sunday, before departing for international duty with France early this morning.
Upon his arrival in Didier Deschamps’ camp, however, Mendy was quickly diagnosed with an injury to his right tibia.
The left-back, as a result, was sent back to Madrid, replaced in France’s ranks by Aston Villa star Lucas Digne.
Mere hours on from Dani Ceballos’ latest injury setback being announced, those of a Real Madrid persuasion have in turn been left to sweat, in anticipation of a further update regarding Mendy’s situation.
And, as alluded to above, this evening, precisely as much has come to the fore.
As revealed by Real Madrid insider Arancha Rodríguez of COPE, the Blancos faithful need not fret.
This comes amid confirmation that Mendy is suffering with little more than an ‘overload’, therefore expected to be fit and available to feature in his side’s post-international break return to action, against Real Sociedad.
