Real Madrid face a massive pay-out should they choose to sack Zinedine Zidane.

Defeat at Shakhtar Donetsk this week has Real at risk of not qualifying from their Champions League group, with the final game against Borussia Monchengladbach to be held on Wednesday night.

Zidane has a contract to 2022 and should he be dismissed in the coming days he would be due a payout of €34.8m.

It's been suggested should Real Madrid lose next week, then Zidane will be dismissed. However, if Real qualify for the round of 16 his job will be safe.

Real sit in fourth position on the LaLiga table, having failed to win any of their last three games.
