Real Madrid’s rebuild is centred around its reserve of young talents, be it Federico Valverde, Vinicius Jr or Aurelien Tchouameni. Given that the World Cup is the biggest stage in the sport for young talents to announce their arrival, Los Blancos are keeping tabs on the performances of their targets during the competition.

Jude Bellingham started England’s game against the USMNT on Friday and played 70 minutes with a pass accuracy of over 90%. However, he was certainly far from his best at Al Bayt Stadium.

It is no secret that Real Madrid are strongly interested in signing the Englishman. However, Florian Plettenberg brings to light information about the midfielder’s transfer saga that could ring bells in Madrid.

According to the Sky Sport Germany journalist, three clubs are keenly interested in securing Bellingham’s services next summer. Real Madrid, Manchester City and Liverpool are involved in the three-way tussle, with Jurgen Klopp especially desperate to sign him.

Given the tough competition, Bellingham’s price tag has significantly bumped up too. Borussia Dortmund now ask close to €150 million for his signing, a number that would force even the best clubs to reconsider their interest.

Manchester United were monitoring the player earlier year but are now virtually out of the race owing to a plethora of reasons. While the Red Devils’ exclusion is a big relief, Liverpool now pose a serious threat to Los Blancos’ chances in the race.

At Real Madrid, Bellingham is seen as the final piece to complete the transition of the midfield department from the legendary trio of Toni Kroos, Casemiro and Luka Modric.

But it has been previously reported that Los Blancos would be unwilling to bid as high as €150 million to sign him. However, with his value soaring and top clubs vying to sign him, the Spanish capital club might have to loosen their purse strings or risk missing out on his capture.

Bellingham’s England fell to a tame draw against the USMNT last night but are still well-placed to top the group.
