Real Madrid eye Marquinhos in hunt for world class centre-back

At least that’s according to Marca who have revealed a detailed story claiming that the hierarchy at Santiago Bernabéu are desperate to add more defensive quality.
They say that those in the corridors of power at Los Blancos are concerned by the depth in the backline and are now on the hunt for a new central defender who can mix it with Sergio Ramos and Raphaël Varane.
Marquinhos is believed to be at the very top of that list with Real confident they can poach the Brazilian from Les Parisiens.
The looming shadow of Financial Fair Play could well come down on Thomas Tuchel’s men in the coming months and as such would need to sell several key players.
The 24-year-old is said to be valued by PSG at close to €80m but the reigning European champions reckon they can land him for somewhere near €60m should Uefa find them guilty of breaching FFP.
