Real Madrid may be looking to strengthen their midfield by bringing back a familiar face in January. The player in question is Casemiro, the Brazilian midfielder who now plays for Manchester United.
According to reports from the Brazilian outlet Trivela (h/t Mundo Deportivo), the Spanish giants are contemplating a move to re-sign Casemiro to help address their midfield concerns, particularly given the recent injuries affecting their squad.
In addition, with Aurelien Tchouameni still adjusting to his role, the club could benefit from Casemiro’s experience and leadership in the centre of the park.
Casemiro, who left Real Madrid in 2022 to join Manchester United, left a significant impact at the Spanish club. His presence in the midfield was crucial to their success over the years, and his departure was keenly felt.
However, now it seems that Real Madrid is considering the possibility of bringing him back to bolster their midfield options, a move that manager Carlo Ancelotti would reportedly welcome.

Casemiro’s return would provide much-needed stability and defensive solidity, particularly as the team deals with various injury issues in the middle of the pitch.
Despite these rumours, Trivela also reports that Casemiro has no intention of leaving Manchester United anytime soon. The 32-year-old is excited about the new direction the club is taking under manager Ruben Amorim.
He believes that his journey at Real Madrid is now behind him, and he is fully committed to his current role at Old Trafford.
The Brazilian midfielder has been an important figure at Manchester United and is focused on continuing to contribute to their progress.
While Real Madrid may be interested in bringing Casemiro back, it seems that for now, he is set on staying with Manchester United and is not actively considering a return to Spain.
