Real Madrid dropped some crucial points in the Liga title race as they drew 1-1 with Rayo Vallecano.
Scorers: De Tomas (PEN) 28′; Joselu 3′
Los Blancos came into this clash knowing that a victory would take them seven points clear of Girona at the top of LaLiga.
Carlo Ancelotti’s side would have to do so without Jude Bellingham however, with the England international still recovering from his ankle injury suffered last weekend.
It took the league leaders just three minutes to take the lead as Joselu netted after a quick counter-attack.
Rayo equalised soon after though as Eduardo Camavinga handled inside the area and Raul de Tomas netted from the spot.
The visitors weren’t deterred by that setback though and almost regained the lead on 35 minutes as Fede Valverde’s volley skimmed the left-hand post.
Into the second half and Rayo should have gone ahead almost immediately but Tchouameni recovered from some terrible defending to block a Garcia effort.
Joselu had a good chance saved by Dimitrievski late on whilst Dani Carvajal let his frustrations show and was sent off late on for two silly bookings.
