Real Madrid's players are eager for Gareth Bale to stay for the new season.

Bale has impressed with his form and attitude in preseason.

And a Real Madrid player is reported to have said: "Bale acts the same way he always did [before joining Tottenham on loan for the 2020-21 season], but even at 50% he's the best attacker at the club."

Quoting the report that he had received from the dressing room source, journalist Edu Aguirre said on El Chiringuito: "Bale is training well [...] He's acting just as he did under Zidane. He trains and he goes home, he doesn't have a fantastic relationship with (Carlo) Ancelotti."

Despite this, Bale's prospects for this season look positive. Aguirre continued: "Players in the dressing room know that if Ancelotti manages to win Bale round [and motivate him], there's no reason why he can't have a good season ahead."
