Real Madrid deal for next signing is ‘already done’ | OneFootball

The board at La Liga giants Real Madrid have closed the signing of their next big-money addition.

That’s according to Spanish football insider Javier Rodríguez Pascual, who points towards Benfica’s Álvaro Carreras as the player in question.

The name of left-back Carreras has of course dominated the headlines in Spain’s capital for several weeks now.

This comes after widespread reports were forthcoming, confirming that Real Madrid had set their sights firmly on the 22-year-old’s signature.

Amid a search for left-back reinforcements to incoming boss Xabi Alonso’s squad, the brass at the Santiago Bernabéu earmarked Carreras as the ideal profile.

Talks with Benfica, in turn, were recently kicked into gear by Florentino Pérez and co.

And as alluded to above, this week, Los Blancos appear to have landed their man.

As per the aforementioned Javier Rodríguez Pascual, speaking during a live stream appearance with ‘inakiangulo’ on ‘X’:

“Álvaro Carreras’ signing for Real Madrid is done. The player just needs to pass his medical. Benfica is already closing in on the signing of another left-back.”
