Bayer Leverkusen are considering bringing in Real Madrid youngster Reinier Jesus to potentially replace Kai Havertz this summer.
That’s according to a report from Goal Brasil’s Bruno Andrade, who claims that the opportunity to play Europa League football in addition to having Brazilian team-mates (Paulinho, Wendell) could prove extremely fruitful for all parties involved.
That’s not the only club who is pursuing the former Flamengo starlet, as Ronaldo’s Real Valladolid are currently considered favourites to land the 18-year-old in the upcoming transfer window.
Real Madrid have sent a youngster to Bayer Leverkusen somewhat recently, allowing Dani Carvajal to go there on loan for the 2012-13 season when he was just 20 years old.
Carvajal’s spell in Germany was wildly successful, scoring a goal and providing a whopping eight assists in 36 appearances in all competitions, including the Europa League.
Reinier has yet to make a first-team appearance for Real Madrid thus far, though he has scored a pair of goals and dished out an assist in just three games for Real Madrid Castilla.
