Spanish giants Real Madrid are considering a surprise move for striker Romelu Lukaku should Inter not extend his loan from Chelsea at the end of the season.

This according to UK tabloid the Daily Mail, who report that Los Blancos would consider signing the 29-year-old in the event that the Nerazzurri decline to agree another loan deal with Chelsea as they aim to reinforce in attacking depth for next season.

Currently, it is not certain whether or not Inter will decide to extend Lukaku’s loan from Chelsea past the end of the season, although as of yet the Belgian’s performance have not been up to the extended standard considering the investment that was made in bringing him back.

Accordingly, there is a very real chance that the Nerazzurri would simply decide against extending Lukaku’s loan from Chelsea at the end of the season.

If this were to be the case, the Blues would aim to find a new club for the former Manchester United and Everton striker, and according to the Sun, Real Madrid would be one of the teams at the window.
