Excitement around Franco Mastantuono in the Real Madrid camp has piqued today especially after the club’s official statement.
The club confirmed today that Mastantuono’s official presentation will take place on his birthday, August 14.
The youngster will be integrated as an official player for Real Madrid. However, it appears there is a possibility he may actually become a part of the senior team.
According to a report from MARCA, Real Madrid are evaluating the option of registering Mastantuono as a RM Castilla player for the time being.
The reasoning behind this move is strategic. It would allow Real Madrid to keep an extra free spot in the first-team squad during the remainder of the transfer window.
This approach would mirror the pathway of Vinicius Jr. and Rodrygo, who initially played with Castilla before fully integrating into the senior side.

By assigning Mastantuono to Castilla temporarily, Real Madrid could maintain roster flexibility without having to release any players prematurely.
The decision also comes amid uncertainty over possible departures before the window closes, especially with Rodrygo now emerging as a serious option for Manchester City.
With the market still active, Los Blancos are weighing all options to maintain depth while giving Mastantuono a gradual introduction to Spanish football.
Whether he starts with Castilla or goes directly into the first-team squad, Mastantuono is expected to receive minutes under Xabi Alonso, possibly as early as the upcoming fixtures once he is eligible.
The move would also give the teenager time to adapt to life in Madrid and the demands of European football without immediate first-team pressure.
