Real Madrid are set to be without the services of James Rodríguez for at least three weeks due to a knee problem.

It has been a frustrating season so far for the Colombian who has been unable to play his way into Zinedine Zidane’s plans.

And things got even worse for James on international duty when he sustained a knee injury during training.

Following tests on Monday, Real diagnosed the midfielder with a sprain to the internal ligament of his left knee.

Various reports in Spain claim that the issue is likely to sideline him for the rest of November at the very least.

There are indications that the injury could see the former Monaco man miss up to six weeks of action.

It has been almost a month since James last started a game for Los Blancos, completing 90 minutes in the loss against Mallorca.
