Real Madrid have confirmed Eden Hazard will face a spell out of action with injury.
The LaLiga champions released a statement confirming that the 29-year-old has been “diagnosed with a muscle injury in his right leg” after picking up a knock in training.
It is reported that Hazard could miss the next three to four weeks which means he is a serious doubt to face Barcelona in the first El Clásico on October 25.
This is not the first spell on the sidelines the Belgian has faced since his €115m move to Santiago Bernabéu in July 2019.
Hazard missed around 25 games with various injuries during his first season and will likely miss a big chunk of the first half of the 2020/21 campaign.
He has scored one goal and laid on seven assists since his arrival from Stamford Bridge.
