As reported by Relevo, Real Madrid are growing in confidence in their pursuit of Bayern Munich defender Alphonso Davies. The club are more optimistic than ever about the potential signing with the deal being carried out in preparation for next season.

The Canadian international is considered as a priority target and unlike the Kylian Mbappé saga, there is confidence this deal will be completed in 2024. His current contract with Bayern ends in 2025 and the player has refused on several occasions to renew his deal giving Los Blancos confidence that they can make him their next ‘galactico’ signing.

The Spanish giants know that Bayern are open to negotiations as they won’t want to lose their star man at a lower price next season or see him leave for free in the same Alaba did in 2021.

Davies, 22, has made 12 appearances this season for Bayern Munich, assisting on three occasions.

The explosive full-back made his Bundesliga debut back in 2019, coming on as a late substitute in his team’s 4-1 win against VfB Stuttgart.
