Real Madrid’s coaching staff, according to a report from MARCA, see Brahim Diaz as an increasingly vital member of the squad.

In fact, it is said that his strong work ethic and impressive performances this season have caught the attention of Carlo Ancelotti and his team, who view him as the best substitute available.

Interestingly enough, though, Brahim is far from content with being in the same position he was in last year.

The recent injury to Jude Bellingham has forced Ancelotti to make several changes to his line-up. During the match against Real Betis, the Italian coach tried out various players like Arda Guler, Luka Modric, and Dani Ceballos in the midfield.

Unfortunately, none of these players fully convinced the coach. This led to Brahim being called upon once again, and his consistent readiness ensured that Real Madrid did not fall further behind Barcelona in the La Liga standings.

Although Federico Valverde has been the standout performer for Real Madrid so far this season, Brahim has emerged as the team’s best option from the bench.

Real Madrid wary of Brahim’s impact

After the win against Betis, Ancelotti praised Brahim by saying he does not see him as a substitute. Ancelotti’s comments highlight the importance of readiness, something Brahim has embodied throughout the season.

Brahim’s impact this season cannot be overlooked. Despite playing just 93 minutes so far, he has already contributed with a goal and an assist.

His energy, confidence, and direct style of play have made a difference, particularly in the match against Betis, where his introduction helped spark the team as they tired.

His pass to Vinicius Jr. led to a penalty, and another pass to Endrick almost resulted in a third goal. Brahim may be the ideal substitute for now, but he’s aiming for more.

While Brahim is content with his role for now, he remains determined to earn more playing time and prove his worth. His goal is to avoid being labelled as just a substitute, as that can make it harder to progress within the team.

With performances like the one against Betis, Brahim is clearly on the right path to securing a more significant role under Ancelotti.
