Real Madrid coach Ancelotti has no Benzema doubts after court ruling

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti says he has no doubts about Karim Benzema's temperament.

On the day he was handed a suspended 12 month jail sentence by a French court for his role in a blackmail attempt, Benzema scored in the Champions League win at FC Sheriff last night.

After the 3-0 win in Tiraspol, Ancelotti said of his striker: "We did not talk about it, he is calm, it is a subject concerning him that has been talked about for a long time.

"Karim Benzema is totally focused on his work, he did it very well, I saw him very calm before the match, and very well during it."

Benzema also posted to social media: "Staying focused on what I like most ... the team, a great victory, let's continue."
