Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti insists Martin Odegaard leaves with his best wishes.

Odegaard was signed permanently by Arsenal last week.

Ancelotti reflected: "When I spoke to him, I spoke about the competition, then he spoke to his family and then he signed for a big club.

"I think he will flourish and I wish him good luck."

Real did not hand Odegaard a squad number for the new season before his departure for London.
