La Liga giants Real Madrid have this week secured reinforcements to the club’s defensive ranks for years to come.
This comes amid confirmation that Los Blancos have closed a deal for Leganés talent Lamini Fati.
The name of youngster Fati has of course proven a prominent one in the transfer chatter in Spain’s capital over the course of the last week.
This comes after word was forthcoming that the 18-year-old’s ongoing excellence at reserve level with Leganés had piqued the attentions of the brass at Real Madrid.
So much so that Florentino Pérez and co. green-lighted a move to bring Fati in with a view to the 2nd half of the campaign.
And, as alluded to above, it has not taken the Spanish champions at all long to get their man.
As per transfer insider Fabrizio Romano:
‘Real Madrid completed deal to sign Lamini Fati from Leganés for their Juvenil team.’
The central defender will make the move to Madrid during the January window, for a fee understood to be in the region of €100,000.
