Last week, reports emerged from Germany suggesting that Real Madrid were in talks with Bayern Munich midfielder Joshua Kimmich, whose contract expires at the end of the season.
The 29-year-old German international has been negotiating a new contract with the Bundesliga heavyweights but has yet to commit as he is also assessing other proposals he has.
Real Madrid’s name was claimed to be an appealing destination for the midfielder and it was further suggested that contacts were taking place between the two parties over a potential transfer.
Soon after, however, sources in Spain reported that Real Madrid had denied any interest in signing Kimmich in the summer window.
Building on that, journalist Jose Felix Diaz of MARCA reports that Bayern Munich know that Real Madrid are not in negotiations with Kimmich over a transfer.

Indeed, there was a call from Valdebebas to the record German champions to clear any confusion following the emergence of the rumours last week.
The only player that Real Madrid wished to sign in the summer this year on a free transfer was Alphonso Davies. But the left-back has decided to sign a new contract and continue at the Allianz Arena.
As for Kimmich, the midfielder simply does not seem to be a player that Los Blancos are interested in signing at this point and have made that clear to Bayern Munich as well.
However, it will be interesting to see whether this stance from the Spanish champions changes if Kimmich continues to hold out on renewing his contract with the Bavarians.
