Real Madrid have made it a point to keep a close eye on the young talent coming through the Brazilian footballing scenes.
The Merengues have already tasted success with the signings of Vinicius Jr and Rodrygo Goes while they have also roped in wonderkid Endrick and are hoping to turn him into the next big superstar.
More and more youngsters bursting through the scenes in Brazil are on the radars of Real Madrid, with a new name joining the list.
Indeed, as per 90min’s Graeme Bailey, Real Madrid are tracking Flamengo wonderkid Lorran, with club’s scouting genius Juni Calafat keeping a close watch on the teenager’s development.
Lorran is a product of the Flamengo youth academy and has already made four senior appearances for the Brazilian club, even scoring one goal despite being just 17 years old.
An attacking midfielder by trade, Lorran is attracting strong interest from clubs other than Real Madrid as well.
Manchester United and Brighton & Hove Albion from England are understood to be ahead of the chasing pack at this moment.
Meanwhile, other top clubs like Barcelona, Chelsea, and Manchester City are also keeping tabs on the young prospect, along with West Ham United.
Lorran will not be able to move to Europe until July next year when he will be turning 18 years old.
The teenage prodigy has a contract with Flamengo that runs until the end of December 2025 with a release clause worth €50 million protecting him.
The Brazilian club are in no hurry to sell him right away and will wait out for the interest from European clubs to develop.
It will be intriguing to see if Real Madrid decide to take a keener interest in the 17-year-old Lorran in the coming months.
