Real Madrid are among a host of European heavyweights who are monitoring 15-year-old American forward Julian Hall, reports Nizaar Kinsella via Evening Standard.
Apart from Real Madrid, the likes of Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City and even Bayern Munich have been credited with interest.
Chelsea have been tracking the 15-year-old the longest, scouting him for the last six months and their interest peaked when he put on a dazzling display, netting twice against them during the Under-15s Generation Adidas Cup match back in April.
The 15-year-old forward currently plies his trade with New York Red Bulls. After spending three years in their academy, he finally made his senior team debut in September this year.
In the same month, Hall inked a fresh contract extension, committing his future to the club until 2026.
However, the football giants of Europe, including Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City, Real Madrid, and Bayern Munich continue to set their sights on the incredibly talented winger.
At this moment, it is said that Chelsea plan to invite the USA youth international for a trial at Cobham, ideally scheduled just ahead of his 16th birthday in January, but New York Red Bulls are equally expected to put up a fight against this move.
But be it Chelsea or Real Madrid, Hall’s move to Europe will be less complicated mostly due to the fact that he also holds a Polish passport.
Now, Real Madrid’s reputation of honing South American talents is well known, but the team from the Spanish capital has never had an American play in the senior team.
A certain Joshua Pynadath was signed within the youth setup in 2013 but his tenure only lasted for two years, with no senior team appearance.
