Youngster Endrick, for his part, set alarm bells ringing in Spain’s capital late last night, after being stretchered out of Palmeiras’ victory over Independiente.

Initial reports pointed towards a potentially lengthy incoming spell on the sidelines for the frontman, whose participation at the upcoming Copa América was even thrown into doubt.

In a boost for all parties involved, however, this will not prove to be the case.

The 17-year-old, for his part, underwent a series of medical scans on Thursday, to ascertain the extent of his worrisome injury.

And as much, as confirmed by The Athletic, revealed only a ‘minor’ thigh problem.

Endrick, as a result, could be cleared to take to the pitch for Palmeiras again as soon as next week.
