Real Madrid-bound youngster Endrick showcased a touch of class during the showdown between Brazil and Uruguay in the early hours of Sunday.

As much came upon Ronald Araújo being forced into a premature departure from the action.

Just beyond the half-hour mark in the fourth and final Copa América quarter-final tie, Barcelona star Araújo pulled up with what looked like a serious injury.

The stopper was ultimately left with no choice but to succumb to the problem, limping from the field of play in a flood of tears.

Prior to as much, though, the aforementioned Endrick was sure to check in on Araújo, putting both club and national rivalries aside to ensure the wellbeing of his fellow professional.

The 17-year-old was spotted comforting the Barcelona stalwart as he lay stricken on the turf, before doing likewise once more upon Araújo returning to his feet.

This came despite the latter having directed a frankly needless shove into Endrick’s back earlier in proceedings, sparking a scuffle between the two sets of playwrs.

When all was said and done, though, it was nevertheless Araújo’s Uruguay who had the last laugh, booking their spot in the Copa semis courtesy of a penalty shootout triumph.
