Real Madrid-bound Endrick beats Barcelona’s Vitor Roque to title of ‘most promising player in world football’ | OneFootball

A recent study of the most promising up-and-coming talents across the globe saw Real Madrid starlet Endrick beat out the competition, to take top spot.

The study in question was carried out by the Football Observatory of the International Center for Sports Studies (CIES Football Observatory), with its results having since been pushed by Spanish outlet Marca.

The project was undertaken over the last 365 days, and took into account a whole host of factors, including:

‘Criteria of the matches played, age of the players in question, and the level of demand of the competition’.

All of this, and more, taken into consideration, it was frontman Endrick – primed to link up with Carlo Ancelotti’s Real Madrid this summer – who came out on top.

Speaking in the aftermath of the study’s findings being made public, Thiago Freitas, COO of Roc Nation Sports Brazil – Endrick’s representative agency – had the following to say:

“The study reinforces how important it is for young athletes today to pay attention to what they do in each of the one hundred minutes of play, whether they are the two in which they have the ball or the ninety-eight in which they do not. This attention, with everything he can do at all times for his team, has always been one of Endrick’s differences.

“Although there is already a consensus among fans, the press, athletes and coaches, in Brazil and Europe, that Endrick is the most promising among those under twenty years of age, a study that uses objective criteria, numbers and metrics, and that includes everyone, and not just the renowned ones, who play in the main clubs, is as important, for us and for him, as popular recognition.”

Narrowly beaten to the no.1 spot in the CIES’ analysis was Endrick’s fellow countryman, Vitor Roque of Barcelona, with Brighton & Hove Albion’s Irish goalscoring sensation Evan Ferguson rounding out the podium places.
