This recognition marks the fourth time the Italian tactician has received this prestigious honour. His previous awards came in 2007 during his tenure with AC Milan, and in 2014 and 2022 with Real Madrid.

Ancelotti stood head and shoulders above his peers, amassing a total of 268 points in the ranking. The award reflects a remarkable year for the veteran manager, during which Real Madrid claimed five of the six trophies they competed for.

Under his guidance, the club triumphed in the Champions League, La Liga, the Spanish Super Cup, the European Super Cup, and the Intercontinental Cup.

By achieving this, Ancelotti has equalled Jose Mourinho’s record for the same number of managerial titles.

Second place in the IFFHS rankings went to Xabi Alonso, a former disciple of Ancelotti and the current manager of Bayer Leverkusen.

Alonso managed to guide his team to a historic Bundesliga title, dethroning Bayern Munich, and earned 104 points in the process.

Pep Guardiola, another managerial giant and a three-time winner of this award in 2009, 2011, and 2023, secured third place with 88 points.

Further down the rankings, Gian Piero Gasperini of Parma achieved his best-ever placement, finishing fourth. Diego Simeone, known for his consistency, returned to the top ten for the 12th time, having previously won the award in 2016.

Unai Emery, currently managing Aston Villa, also made the top ten, coming in sixth with ten points. His inclusion further highlights the growing prominence of Spanish managers in global football.

This recognition solidifies Ancelotti’s legacy as one of the most successful and influential managers in football history, showcasing his ability to consistently deliver success at the highest level.
