Real Madrid beware: AC Milan star to return to XI for UCL clash | OneFootball

A leading member of the attacking ranks at Serie A heavyweights AC Milan is primed to return to starting duties for the club’s upcoming showdown with Real Madrid.

That’s according to insider Matteo Moretto, who points towards Rafael Leão as the player in question.

Wide-man Leão, for his part, has been in and out of the XI in Milan over recent weeks.

Struggling to convince new head coach Paulo Fonseca of his talents, the Portuguese international, in fact, was forced to make do with a spot on the bench in each of the Rossoneri’s last two fixtures.

Ahead of tomorrow night’s trip to Spain to face Carlo Ancelotti’s Real Madrid, Leão’s status, in turn, had been considered as up in the air once more.

As per the aforementioned Matteo Moretto of Relevo, though, the plan at Milanello is for the 25-year-old to be restored to his spot on the left wing from the off at the Santiago Bernabéu.
