Real Madrid have been heavily linked with a move for a new midfielder this summer, with Real Sociedad star Martin Zubimendi one of the players they admire.
The Spanish international, however, is set to join Arsenal, having already agreed on everything with the Premier League giants.
Now, though, according to journalist Jorge Picon, Real Madrid consider that they have the ‘best in the world’ as far as their midfield department is concerned despite new manager Xabi Alonso’s admiration for Martin Zubimendi.
Los Blancos are of the firm belief that the trifecta of Federico Valverde, Aurelien Tchouameni, and Eduardo Camavinga are some of the best in the position.

Valverde has been at the top of his game for the past couple of seasons and will undoubtedly have a major role to play under Alonso.
Tchouameni, too, rediscovered his form in the second half of the season after a dodgy start and proved why Real Madrid rate him so highly.
As far as Camavinga is concerned, the young Frenchman had a difficult campaign – one riddled with injuries and erroneous displays – something that he will have to address if he is to live up to the expectations the club have on him.
As for Zubimendi, while Alonso remains an admirer, having coached him previously at Real Sociedad B, there will be no reunion in Madrid this summer, with the midfielder headed to the English capital.
