Real Madrid are always on the lookout for the best and most exciting young talents across the globe to add to their squad.

Heading into the summer transfer window, the Spanish capital club are monitoring several such talented prospects like Franco Mastantuono, Tomas Parmo, and Leny Yoro, among others.

Now, a fresh report from Foot Mercato has claimed that the Merengues have identified yet another teenage gem as a prospective target.

Real Madrid interested in Cardoso Varela

Indeed, as per the report, Real Madrid are interested in signing FC Porto’s teenage winger Cardoso Varela, who is making a lot of waves despite being just 15 years old.

Varela, 15, is a left winger who already plays for FC Porto’s Under-19 side despite his age. The attacker has already made three appearances for the Portuguese giants in the UEFA Youth League this season, becoming the youngest player to represent the club in the competition.

Varela is also a regular for the Portuguese Under-17 national team, having bagged two goals in 14 matches.

An exciting talent, the teenager’s contract with Porto expires at the end of the ongoing season, sparking a flurry of interest, with Real Madrid among the suitors.

No shortage of suitors

While Real Madrid are keen on Varela, they are set to face stiff competition as a host of other top clubs from Europe are also following him.

Indeed, Real Madrid’s arch-rivals Barcelona and their upcoming UCL opponents, Manchester City, are both interested in the teenage whizkid.

Meanwhile, PSG, Inter Milan, Atletico Madrid, Juventus, Borussia Dortmund, and Bayern Munich are all understood to be keen.

In fact, the report even states that apart from PSG, the rest of the interested clubs have already tabled offers for Varela and the youngster is now spoilt for choices as he considers the next step in his career.
